so my friend invited me to her prom. it was lame but they had some cool stuff like sweet cupcakes (audrey would have been in heaven because obviously all she eats is cupcakes), and a free photobooth. we took rad pics.

now we're at this cool post-prom afterparty deal. there's a ton of food and shit. good times, although its late and I'm so tired.

last night I saw a ton of kids.

today I'm back at school. wrote a paper, and now I'm hiding with popcorn and downloaded tv.

so I'm home for the weekend. its always weird being home again after living away. its not like being a guest, afterall I have my own room and it has my things in it. its more a weird feeling of becoming reaquainted with your surroundings.

tomorrow is summer job hunt day. I'm going to end up working somewhere shitty. oh well, a job is a job. and I need one.

I got a copy of the operator please ep on vinyl. its best described as snazzy,

typing blog posts from my sidekick in bed before falling asleep seems to be becoming my new tradition. hooray for rss feeds and cross-posting. now I don't feel like I'm neglecting anything!

going home for the weekend.

tonight laura picked me up and we visited jeff, who I hardly knew before tonight. we had a long conversation about everything. it was great. who needs to hang out someplace when you can just talk?

another week another week another week. p.s. another week.

it's monday which means i pretend to do work in my TWO art history classes, then randomly find time to do a bullshit short (500 word) paper for my third class of the day.

coffee and VIRB updates got me through the first art history, now this is getting me through the second.

this weekend is bamboozle. i sort of want to go, i think i could roadtrip up with some kids but i haven't decided yet. i also am probably going home for the weekend instead so it's not realistic. i need to get my hair did. yes my hair. yes i said did. yes i do regularly get my hair did. just saying.

this morning we decided at the student events board to show "wet hot american summer" on a big screen outdoors on the 11th of may. that'll be cool. i think i'll do the flyer for it 'cause i have nothing better to do with my time anyway, and we all know that.

graphic design thing due tomorrow so i have to fake it tonight, basically.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i don't think anything is actually going on at all. how sad.

still need a summer job. still can't wait to graduate and then pretend to be a grownup.

so I've been hired as a board member of the student events board at my university. our first duty was working at quadmania, the annual spring concert/event.

we had the all american rejects come play, as well as all time low and another band that was too lame to mention. tyson ritter posed for photos and was pretty nice, not an asshole as I expected. it was surprising.

we also had a carnival complete with lots of rides and games and that sort of thing. it was pretty epic.

tonight I was elected vice president of the art council of majors. I also got a cupcake.

it was pretty great.

I've been pretty sick the last two days. Not sure why exactly, but I'm sitting in a doctor's office waiting to be called now, and we're about to find out.

I hope it's not serious. I have too much going on these days to be seriously sick.

I'm on my way to cut my hair for the first time since august. I don't even know what I'm doing to it, either.

my friend chris works at perez salon and they're going to do something great.

and now i am tired.

So last night my friend Joe and I drove down to DC to see the show, 'cause we got guestlisted (we're broke. though in his case it's cause his car got stolen and he bought a new one).

Both bands were excellent, better than the Ottobar show for sure. Rock&Roll Hotel is a cool venue too, it was my first time going there.

Anyway, yeah, good energy from both bands. The crowd got really into MW&C and there was jumping and dancing and all sorts of shit. I jumped onstage with my friend Patti who showed up at the show for "Dance In My Blood," and it was good times overall.

Then we drove back to campus the end. I'm super tired and have a graphic design project due at 3. Off to the art building I go!

I decided to use Buzznet a bit these days. I need to learn to update from my sidekick, 'cause then I'd definitely do it more often.

Anyway, first journal.

Tonight my friend Chris and I went to the Ottobar in Baltimore to see Men, Women, and Children, and We Are The Fury. The crowd was small, but the show was great. Both bands were really great live, great energy, etc. I did a bit of dancing, actually. Not that I really can, of course, but I had fun. I jumped up on stage while MW&C played "Dance In My Blood," actually.

Later I tried to get all of We Are The Fury into the photobooth they have in the back of the club, and we got everyone in, and then it wouldn't take my money! It was pretty much hysterical because they were all sandwiched in while the two tall kids, myself and Chris (not the friend I came with, Chris from the band, who is also 6' 1" like I am) stood with our heads poking in.

Anyway, it was a good night overall. I may just be going to see them again tomorrow night at the Rock&Roll Hotel in Washington, DC now!
